Toxic Knobs, an independent gear knob manufacturer, sought eco-friendly packaging for their handcrafted recycled gear knobs made from ground and reformed plastic bottles.
We incorporated into the design a product description section to be filled in by hand. This idea was to reduce waste from having pre-determined packaging that could only be used for a specific model of gear knob. This enables Toxic Knobs to have limitless options and production run sizes, which, due to the nature of demand and material availability, is crucial.
The packaging, crafted from 100% recyclable card, was designed to reflect the product’s eco-friendly ethos. The brand’s updated visual identity was integrated into a tube-style design, evoking a “science capsule” aesthetic. Typeface-inspired elements and touches of the signature “Toxic neon green” further emphasised the scientific theme.
